Project Aim

Turn detailed physiology scripts into 10–15 minute video lessons that guide learners through each topic using dynamic animations, narration and sound effects.

Approach

I took each video from the supplied script and voiceover through to the finished video, shaping its pacing and the visual storytelling along the way.

  • Reviewed the script and resolved any queries about the content.

  • Checked the voiceover and refined any inconsistencies using Adobe Audition.

  • Mapped out the flow of the video in a rough storyboard, planning the labelling and visuals.

  • Talked through the storyboard with the scriptwriter before moving into production, helping to avoid time-consuming changes once animation had begun.

  • Built vector animation assets in Adobe Illustrator and adapted raster artwork in Adobe Photoshop.

  • Used Adobe After Effects for detailed animation and Keynote for more straightforward sequences.

  • Brought the voiceover, animations and sound effects together in Adobe Premiere Pro.

  • Made final changes following content and style reviews and then packaged all final files.

I kept several videos moving through different stages at once, beginning the next project while another was being reviewed. I also reviewed videos created by other designers to support consistency across Kenhub’s educational content.
